I am just finishing up a pencil portrait that I have been working on.

I had a request for a customer at the gallery yesterday to do an old weathered cowboy riding the fence line. I can already see it in my mind.

I also am working on an artist book for all my BIRO works. It’ll probably be about 20 pages more if I get a couple more BIRO pieces finished before I publish it.

“Serenade” Two wolves howling together. The 2nd drawing that I had done using one of the 5 pictures from the 16 year old photographer. This one is a favorite piece of many people.

I would work on this piece outside in front of the gallery over a month time frame. People that came by, would keep coming back to see how far I had got.  I sold two full-size prints before I even finished this one. Gotta put a smile on your face.

If you ever want to know what people think of your art, take your stuff outside on a sidewalk (where permissible and preferably a busy downtown sidewalk) and start working on it. Say hi to people walking by and get into conversations. Make sure you have plenty of business cards too.
